Cancellation Policy
1. How to Cancel
To cancel a booking, please contact us at info@alakart.co.za with your booking reference number. Cancellations are not processed automatically through the website.
2. Minimum Booking Notice
Bookings must be made at least 4 working days in advance of the event date. Bookings placed within this period cannot be accepted.
3. Cancellation Timeline
The following terms apply based on when you cancel relative to your event date:
- More than 14 days before the event: Full cancellation with deposit refund (see Refund Policy).
- 7–14 days before the event: Cancellation accepted; 50% refund applies.
- Less than 7 days before the event: Cancellation accepted; no refund issued.
4. Date Changes
If you need to change your event date rather than cancel:
- Date changes are subject to availability.
- One free date change is permitted if requested more than 7 working days before the original event date.
- Requests within 7 working days of the event will be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.
5. Cancellation by alakart
In rare circumstances, we may need to cancel a booking due to equipment unavailability or force majeure events. In such cases:
- You will be notified as soon as possible.
- A full refund will be issued for all amounts paid.
- We will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative date.
6. No-Shows
If no one is available at the event venue at the agreed delivery time and we are unable to set up, the booking will be considered fulfilled and no refund will be issued.
