1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using alakart (https://alakart.co.za), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services

alakart provides a luxury cart hire and catering service. Customers can browse available cart types, select menus, and book carts for events through our online platform.

3. Bookings and Payments

  • A booking is confirmed once a deposit has been paid.
  • Bookings must be made at least 4 working days in advance of the event date.
  • The remaining balance is due before the event date as communicated in your booking confirmation.
  • Payments are processed securely through Paystack, Yoco, or EFT as selected at checkout.
  • All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before the event: full deposit refund.
  • Cancellation 714 days before the event: 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days before the event: no refund.

5. Date Changes

Customers may change their event date free of charge provided the request is made at least 7 working days before the original event date. Requests within 7 working days of the event will be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.

6. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration.

7. Delivery

Delivery is available within our specified delivery areas. A delivery charge is calculated based on the distance from our base location to your event venue. Delivery timelines are communicated during the booking process and in your confirmation email.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of alakart and may not be reproduced without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

alakart shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific booking in question.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
